The Minister also inaugurated a new building for the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Vandavasi, costing ₹1.5 crore. The new building has a dedicated space for a laboratory, a consultation room, and a waiting area. The inauguration of these facilities was part of the government’s initiative to improve healthcare access in rural areas. Subramanian emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare to all citizens, regardless of their location. He highlighted the establishment of these facilities as a step towards achieving this goal. The Minister’s visit to Tiruvannamalai district was part of a larger effort to improve healthcare infrastructure in Tamil Nadu.

S. Rajendran, a resident of Padavedu village, expressed his hope that the new facility would bring relief to the residents. He stated that the new PHC would be a boon to the residents, especially those who are unable to afford the cost of travelling to Chengalpattu.
